In 2023, we commemorate a decade since the inception of HISP Uganda, a journey marked by remarkable achievements, learning, and growth. From our founding vision to strengthen information systems in developing nations, we've not only met but surpassed expectations. Despite challenges, including skepticism and uncertainty, our collective dedication has driven us forward. Beyond our accomplishments, the essence of HISP Uganda lies in the community and family we've cultivated. Every member and supporter has been integral to shaping our identity and impact. As we celebrate this milestone, let's recommit to our guiding values, fostering sustainable information systems for action. With gratitude to all who've been part of this journey, here's to the next decade of positive global impact!
Reflecting on the journey embarked a decade ago, I express profound gratitude and pride to our patrons, funders, supporters, clients, and friends. HISP Uganda's founding vision was ambitious, envisioning a world where sustainable information systems for action are a reality. Despite early challenges, collective determination, a passionate team, and unwavering belief led to overcoming hurdles and laying the foundation for today's HISP Uganda. The journey is marked by milestones, achievements, and positive impacts in local, national, and regional information systems. I deeply appreciate every member's dedication, hard work, trust, and passion. As we celebrate, let's not only review accomplishments but also anticipate future challenges and opportunities. With the collaborative and innovative spirit that brought us here, I am confident HISP Uganda will continue thriving, making an even greater impact in the years ahead. Thank you for an extraordinary ten years, and here's to the next decade of making a difference together!
As we commemorate the 10 years, this week our programs Director, Dr. Prosper Behumbiize and our Information Systems and support lead, Mr. Patrick Omiel Okecho are in Eswatini to support the ministry of Eduction, Eswatini on data quality.
